This week’s 10-minute presentation at BNSL took a slightly different format, as Richard Taylor put members’ film knowledge to the test with an entertaining and interactive movie quiz.
Rather than delivering a traditional business presentation, Richard challenged the group with a series of multiple-choice questions covering a wide range of film trivia — from Hollywood blockbusters and animated classics to fantasy adventures, superheroes and Oscar-winning films.
It was a brilliant way to get everyone involved and quickly had the room talking, laughing and debating the answers.
A Quiz with Something for Everyone
The quiz included questions on films and franchises such as:
- Titanic
- Avatar
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Harry Potter
- The Lord of the Rings
- Frozen
- Jaws
- The Dark Knight
- Finding Nemo
- Black Panther
- Star Wars
Some questions were fairly straightforward, while others proved much trickier than expected. As the quiz progressed, members compared answers, questioned their own film knowledge and enjoyed plenty of friendly competition.
And the Winner Was…
There was a strong competitive spirit in the room, but one member clearly stood out.
A huge congratulations to Tillie Graves of Bloom Assistants, who won the quiz with a fantastic 14 out of 15 correct answers.
For her excellent score, Tillie was awarded a well-deserved bottle of fizz courtesy of Richard.

Generating Plenty of Conversation
One of the best things about Richard’s quiz was how much conversation it generated amongst members.
As answers were revealed, discussions quickly followed around favourite films, memorable characters, famous quotes and surprising movie facts. It created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, giving members a chance to chat, laugh and connect in a slightly different way.
That is one of the things we value so much at BNSL — the opportunity to build relationships naturally, not just through business introductions, but through shared moments and genuine conversation.
More Than Just Networking
Richard’s presentation was a great reminder that BNSL meetings are not always about formal presentations or business pitches. Sometimes the most memorable sessions are the ones that bring people together through fun, interaction and friendly competition.
The movie quiz was a perfect example of this. It encouraged everyone to take part, sparked plenty of discussion and showed once again that networking can be relaxed, enjoyable and genuinely engaging.
