Another fantastic and memorable Business Networking Leicestershire (BNSL) meeting recently — this time with long-standing member George Seward of Corporate Mergers. 😊
George took us on a reflective journey through his last 18 months in business before his recent retirement, sharing fascinating insights from a career that has spanned decades in the world of mergers, acquisitions, and business sales. His presentation was part memoir, part masterclass — filled with lessons learned, deals done, and the people and businesses that shaped his professional life.
Life After Business — Aboard the Narrowboat!
Now officially retired, George has been embracing a new adventure — life on the water!
He delighted the group with anecdotes from his recent travels aboard his narrowboat, exploring the UK’s beautiful canal network. His stories painted a picture of calm mornings, scenic routes, and the occasional lock-side challenge — a well-earned change of pace after years in high-pressure business negotiations.
It was wonderful to see George’s trademark humour, insight, and storytelling come through, reminding everyone that the networking connections we make often turn into genuine friendships beyond the boardroom.
